Service Description

Commencing from the second week: 12th September. Explore the art of artistic printmaking through a series of projects and processes that are aimed at promoting individual ideas and thinking. Open to all young people 13 -16 years. Join us as we adventure through the exciting world of printmaking. This is perfect for young people looking to explore and expand their existing arts education. The sessions would be a great accompaniment to any formal art education with a chance to expand and flesh out ideas develop a portfolio and build confidence. There will be a variety of printmaking related materials and tools used along with drawing, collage, painting, sketch-booking and animation. A group exhibition will be held at the end of each full term. What's included: full support, all materials including relief press, hand presses, silk screens and many various printmaking paraphernalia, sketch book, group storage draw and exhibition curation. Young printmakers runs term time booked in half term chunks with an exhibition at the end of the full term. The sessions are £15 each. About your tutor: Aprille McShane is a practising visual artist and educator with over 10 years in delivering printmaking classes to all ages and abilities. Aprille has tutored young people on National Saturday Club for Sheffield Hallam University, ACCTs teenage youth club and for many years through her process driven Scarlett and Valentine art club. Her aim is to champion and support others in their creative journey.
